Klattau is located in the Czech Republic near the border with Lower Bavaria and can be quickly reached for our tandem passengers from Regensburg, Deggendorf, Cham and Straubing via Bayerisch Eisenstein or Furth im Wald. But even long journeys are worth it for our passengers to tandem jump, because this Dropzone is also known as a “mecca for skydivers”. And rightly so! Hundreds of skydivers travel long distances here year after year just to pursue their passion on this pearl among the jumping sites: skydiving and tandem skydiving!!
A spectacle that you should definitely experience, as major events, championships and competitions in various skydiving disciplines are regularly held in Klatovy. There’s always something going on here when up to 60 skydivers jump out of the large aircraft, the Pink Skyvans, at the same time to build a variety of formations in the air. A spectacle that can also be viewed from the ground and regularly puts our tandem jump passengers in traffic jams.
Unfortunately, our beloved Klatovy is sometimes still afflicted with unfounded prejudices against the Czech Republic…
Year after year we look forward to the jumping days in Klatovy and count the days on the calendar until we can finally go back into our “bubble”, as we call it, for a few weeks. Because time stands still for us at the Dropzone in Klattau near the border with Lower Bavaria, that’s how much we enjoy our stays there.
At the airfield in Klatovy, pretty much everyone speaks German, as most of the skydivers come from Germany and Austria. And the highly professional Dropzone staff also speaks three languages fluently, including German, especially since the aircraft operator is also Austrian. And as a German (or Bavarian) provider of parachute tandem skydive jumps, we can only warmly recommend our main jump site to you.
